The European Society for the Advancement of Cell Technology
ESACT e.V. – Who we are and what we do
Organization
The European Society for the Advancement of Cell Technology is headed by the executive committee (XC), consisting of 9 members, namely the four officers, four additional elected members, and the organizer of the next ESACT MEETING appointed by the executive committee. The elected members and officers (chairperson, vice-chairperson, treasurer and secretary) represent the society. Elected members shall serve on the XC for a term of 2 years, after which they may stand for re-election. An officer may serve a maximum of 2 terms of 2 years.
The election of regular members shall be conducted by ESACT members every two years at the ESACT MEETING. The result is announced during the general assembly at the ESACT MEETING. In the event of a tie, the number of elected members in the XC for that XC period is increased to 5. In addition, the society receives administrative support from the ESACT office.
The early career scientists and researchers of the society are represented by the ESACT frontiers group.
